We were so excited that our Mimi weekend finally came! We got through our Pediatrician appointment, rested up Friday with our colds and then headed out that night to the airport. We went inside and waited right where everyone comes off the tram up to baggage claim. Cole was so excited looking for Mimi. Cam found the waiting area to be a great place to prop up and rest her feet. I think it took all of maybe 10 seconds before they warmed up to Mimi and continue on with things with her as if no time away from her had passed. That made me so happy. They were on such a high when we got home that they stayed up waaaaay late playing and being excited, that it was hard for them to go to bed.

We knew it was supposed to get cold over the weekend--we weren't prepared really for the SNOW, though! The snow steadily came down for a good 2 hours or so Saturday morning. It was never cold enough for anything to stick, but you could definitely see the now
white mountains and watch as the snow kept falling in thicker and thicker flakes. Mario loved being out in it. Here he's actually pawing at me begging to go back out and run around in it all some more. He got to.

Later that day, when the snow turned to yucky rain, we went out to Flat Irons Mall. We love this mall! Mimi had great success at Christopher & Banks and we had immense success with the Pottery Barns--First, we found on super-duper clearance a kid outdoor table, bench and umbrella at Pottery Barn Kids. Matt said it felt like we had just shopped at Kohl's with the unbelievable deal we got on it. Then, we went to the adult Pottery Barn and got our dining room furniture! It's set to come in more around the beginning of November. Can't wait to get everything settled with it. We loved wearing our hats from Aunt Shannon Saturday. It was so cold, they were perfect. Cam continued to wear hers inside around the mall. It's like she knew she looked cute in it or something?! Whenever we tried to take it off, she started crying and grabbing to put it back on.

Never coming away empty-handed from the Disney store, we got our Halloween costumes along with some other stuff we just had to have. The babies are going to be Mickey and Minnie this year. The only catch is that Cam's Minnie ears are pretty big on her. I've got to get creative and figure out a way she can wear them...Mimi also got them Mickey and Minnie cell phones. They are currently one of our favorite toys--they were great to play with while out eating too...

The next day we met up with The Hendrick's in Golden. It was a beautiful afternoon so it was fun to walk along the creek there. Cooper threw a bunch of rocks in the water and Maya posed on butterflies. We were inspired by Maya to do the same.

...Mid-picture taking dogs were spotted, so of course we have to point and get excited over them...

We had a relaxing Sunday evening. Maya and Cooper brought over one of the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" movies and we all found ourselves laughing out loud to it! Matt's all about watching the other one now. We all had chili and cornbread (even the babies) and settled into another chilly evening. The next day the weather turned warmer and even more gorgeous. We had more fun with Mimi, played outside on our new kid's table, and shopped a bit more before it was time to go the airport. We were sad Monday night after Mimi had gone back home. But we're now looking forward to this Friday when Grandpa and Grandma Jackie come!!
