Doggie Art

This is my new friend Katia. She is a middle school student that painted this fantastic picture of Mario. Isn't it great? My friend Amanda hooked me up with a group of students who were doing "Doggie Art" for their summer school art project. All we had to do was submit a picture of our dog and they would creatively paint a picture of it from there. All the paintings were so great. Of course I was blown away by them all since I can hardly even draw a stick figure. The school was actually in a very scary part of town and all the kids were so sweet--and they were painting pictures of our "babies", so I thought the whole thing was incredibly special and was all full of love and emotions. Katia probably sees me as the crazy pregnant girl that I am, but is hugging her 4 times over my love for this picture too much? I think not. I can't wait to frame it and hang this somewhere fun.

Ashlee--do you recognize my entire outfit here? I am in love with my new clothes from "Ashlee's Boutique"!

Pretty Ladies at the Wedding

So it's from my phone, but here's a picture of us girls at Nora's wedding. You can see us all in full effect here. She has the sweetest friends, I was so happy to see them all last weekend. And I'm very jealous that Nora is honeymooning in Maui right now. I SO want to go there again!

It's A Nice Day for a White (and Black-and Yellow) Wedding

This past weekend Nora got married. It was so special being her Matron of Honor, she is one of my longest and dearest friends. We've been friends since we were 10! I've never seen her so happy ever--Tom, her now husband, is such a great guy. We're so happy for them and had a blast!

Here's the cute couple decorating at the reception site...

Here's my favorite picture of Nora from the whole weekend. She's so precious. And check out her great looking lashes...

Some more reception pics...What a fun time!

Take Steps

Yesterday was the Houston Take Steps Walk benefitting our Gulf Coast CCFA (Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America) Chapter. Held at Discovery Green Park, it was at a great location with a great turnout. Spreading awareness is one of the most important things that can be done to help fight Crohn's & Colitis so it's a good feeling thinking about all the people that attended. Unlike last year's Take Steps event, we got to actually walk. Although this time instead of a major thunderstorm, we had major heat! It's seriously an oven outside. And it's only June.

Go P. Pierce, Go Celtics!

We're of course rooting for the Celtics. We were at KU the same time Paul Pierce was. In addition to Matt being a manager on the basketball team with him, one of our dear friends also had a math class with him. With all the endearing stories we have about him, there's nothing but love in this family for P! Matt and Mario were both into the game the other night. Such a "lively" bunch we are around here and all...

Happy Birthday Matt

Happy Birthday to Matt! Many great, wonderful things are in store for this year.
We celebrated over the weekend...

And the two of us celebrated tonight on his real birthday. We stuffed ourselves at Perry's. So yummy...

Me Plus 3

Mario's been a sick little boy these past few days. He's got a bad case of gastroenteritis they say. He spent the day at the doctor and got several shots to finally stop his stomach from throwing up (after 3 days of it). He's to take it easy for now, so we lounged on the chair and caught up on some "Kate Plus 8" episodes this evening. I love when he lays across my lap and lets me treat him like the baby he is to me. It was particularly special when I looked down and realized that it was actually me and all 3 of my babies snuggling together on the chair taking it easy tonight.

You Are My Fire

I love these guys. Watched their A&E "Private Sessions" episode I had on TiVo today and it was 1999 all over again. Hopefully no one peeped in our windows as I was singing and dancing around my kitchen to "I Want It That Way".

Relaxing Memorial Day Weekend

This picture pretty much sums up the weekend for me. For Matt, this was one of his only relaxing moments. He decided to work on the yard outside, pressure wash, make several trips to Home Depot, etc. But all of that is actually a lot of fun for him and more like torture for me. I very much enjoyed seeing the musical Young Frankenstein with my Mom and Cheryl. I also finished reading The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and watched the Jersey Shore marathon on MTV. Gotta enjoy the horrible MTV show marathons while I still can. The only thing better would've been if they also had a 16 and Pregnant marathon too. Mario's accomplishment this weekend was finally getting into the pool on his own--Thanks in part to his huge desire to get the ball and mostly by being with his brother Tiger, who loves any excuse to jump in the water!
