Having Fun This Holiday Season

We continue to celebrate the babies' 1st Holiday Season here and it's been so fun. We finally got their room officially decorated too--which I was hoping would mean they move in to their room permanently...but that's not exactly happening yet like I wish. Matt's not ready for them to move out of our room yet, so we're going to make the transition after the first of the year once the holidays are over and we're back to a normal schedule. So in the meantime we continue to tiptoe around our room, use the other bathroom and try to stir as little as possible in bed when we're all back there. I'm also looking forward to having our actual computer area back to ourselves too with the transition. Hopefully that will mean more consistent blogging...!

I really don't mean to keep my babies sleeping in a pack n play all their lives so far, (see rant errrr paragraph above) but they're super cute and frequently hold hands when they do :)
Our little Christmas Kitty
And our Christmas Giraffe
Thank you Aunt Cheryl for our adorable hats! This is at Cheryl's annual Tacky Christmas Sweater party. The babies wore their "Baby's 1st Christmas" shirts and then had their little fashion show with their new hats at the party. Yes. We pretty much moved in to Cheryl's last night with all our gear.
Here's Ben! (Cam's betrothed), along with her future mother-in-law, Ashlee :)
I'm very guilty for sitting my babies in front of the TV. But Jackson and Ben joined in with them. Elf was on TV--it's not like they were watching "16 and Pregnant" on MTV or anything...!
Lucy is very festive
One of the many takes we have of this pose...And a reminder this was a Tacky Christmas Sweater Party
And another cute take...
This coming week will be a fun one. A lot more family and friends will be in town and off work. We can't wait to celebrate!

All dressed up...With places to go

This weekend we had two fun parties we got to attend. Matt's Company Christmas Party and our friend Amanda's birthday party. In fact, the next two weekends we have parties! Woo Hoo! Since I actually showered during daylight hours AND I actually used a blow dryer on my hair (it had been 3 months since either of those things have happened), I thought I should post a couple pics to commemorate. Also important to show off is Matt looking all handsome in his tux. Newfield's stock closed at an all time high Friday, so he broke out the tux to celebrate at the party!

O Christmas Tree

Also this week we went out for our Christmas Tree. Matt was very excited, it being the babies' 1st Christmas Tree. Growing up, most of my family was extremely allergic to real trees so we never went out hunting for a real one. Matt loves this so I'm glad he had fun with it all. It looks really nice and the babies like to look at the lights on it now.

Looking for the perfect tree. You might be able to see--Cole slept soundly through the whole thing.
This is once we got home. He's still less than impressed with it all!
A couple nights later we finally brought the tree in and set it all up. Here's cute Cole and Cam with their 1st ornaments.

This was on a cold (cold for us!) December morning here this week. I guess you can say it got me in the Christmas mood. Everyone was in good spirits (aka sleeping) so I couldn't resist taking my "All is Calm, All is Bright" picture.

3 Months Old!

On December 1st, Camryn and Cole turned 3 months old. Looking back I can't believe how much has changed--and how much THEY have changed!

Cole is like "whoa!" about turning 3 months old. We love his facial expressions!
He's super excited.
Cam got all "whoa!" excited too.

Happy Birthday Mario

This past Tuesday our sweet Mario turned TWO. We had a little doggy birthday party for him over at his brother Tiger's house. He was properly spoiled with treats and toys!

We love him so much!!

Many Thanks in November

We have so many things to give thanks for--and so many pictures to go with it!

Starting with our sweet Birthday Boy this month...
Mario having boppy time

Earlier this month we donated our preemie clothes to the NICU. We got to see several of our favorite nurses when we went in to drop everything off too. It was a nice feeling to be healthy and just visit the NICU now

Camryn loves her Sleep Giraffe almost as much as her and her brother love their Sleep Sheep. Cam and Giraffe were having quite a conversation lately.
...as well as some good snuggle time

Also this month we had our Newborn Pictures done. They turned out so cute! We can't wait to decorate their room with all their beautiful pictures soon.

I hope I don't jinx anything by typing this--but they are usually good about taking naps back in their bed (which is still their pack n play in the study off of our bedroom) afternoons into the evening. After 4 hours I was ready for them to wake up so I used the flash on the camera and caught this serious slumber taking place. It didn't wake them in the least by the way.

Dad let Cole sit in the sacred KU Chair for the first KU game this season.

And now onto Thanksgiving...
We loved having all kinds of family in town for Thanksgiving this year. It was the first time for all them to meet the babies. We had so much fun.
Here's Maya with Camryn. The two girl cousins definitely got in some good bonding time.

Maya and Cooper
Fisher loving on his boy cousin
Cole snoozing away on Grammy
Cole and Maggie made quite a love connection too
It's too bad Maya and Cooper don't really take to Matt...yeah right!
It's great to hang out on Matt Thanksgiving morning.
The weather started out great on Thanksgiving day here--but then turned really cold. (Cold for us down here, I mean!)
Back inside my Mom's house on Thanksgiving
Showing off their "Baby's 1st Thanksgiving" bibs

Some good photo ops with their Grammy

Grammy definitely had the magic touch with Cam
Matt made his always yummy Bourbon Corn. It was all gone. So gone that it looked like someone literally licked the serving bowl it was in. I think all of us had a third helping of it.
Maggie will fondly think of Jennifer whenever there is wine around. Just like she will think of my Mom and other Ericksons whenever there is a Moo Moo around.
The boys all posing in their dinosaur shirts

We got to see Nora and Tom while they were in town!
Grammy got her Christmas present early--a Nook! She loves it so much she continued to read it in quite a position while it fully charged later that day.
Cole and Camryn very much loved cuddling with their Grammy all weekend.
We strongly felt the love and thanks that go with the Holidays this year. Can't wait to celebrate more next month!
