I'm hoping if I say "Maui" three times while clicking my heels I'll be whisked away back to that most wonderful, beautiful, amazing place...
Okay, that didn't work. Guess we'll have to just enjoy the pictures until we get to go back again...
Just boarded the plane. Even that was a fun experience. They were playing hula Hawaiian music on the plane as we boarded and our TV screens in front of us showed waves splashing on beautiful beaches.
Hanging out on the balcony of our hotel room. Absolutely amazing view.

Up bright and early the next morning. It felt like Lawrence was transplanted right in Maui. It was KU central for the tournament!
While Matt watched a bunch of games, I read by the pool pretty much ALL day. Even though I reapplied sunscreen, I paid for it big time with a raging sunburn. Didn't feel it until later that night, then I sported a nice bright pink/red color for most of the rest of the week there. Oops. But aren't my pool views too awesome?
Meanwhile, I got a text that the babies were having bedtime cookies at Mimi's...
On the way to the gym for KU's first game of the tournament. Not a bad view from the gym...
While we were in the midst of everything basketball and Hawaii, the babies went to visit Uncle Robby at work...Ummm...COMPLETELY sunburned.

Now this looks quite disgusting. We chowed down at the luau. Both on food and Mai Tai's. I swear this plate tasted waaaaaay better than it looks here!
We went to a sunset dinner cruise the next evening. Sounded like a wonderful, awesome idea. Unfortunately right as the boat started lightly rocking to set sail, my stomach started rocking too. I spent the majority of the time in the boat bathroom. When I wasn't doing my own thing in there, I sat up on the top of the boat where I could get totally wind-blown by fresh air. I got so many strange looks, and I'm sure people thought I was the snobbiest, rudest wife and person ever---but they took one look at me and kept their distance. It was pretty obvious I was in bad shape. I just wanted the boat to stop moving--and I was trapped!!! Worst feeling. Matt, on the other hand, had an absolute blast! It was one of his favorite things he did during our vacation. Figures.

He took tons of pictures during our time on the boat. It's not like he had anyone else to hang out with--He didn't really associate himself with the strange girl sitting on top of the ship about to get blown away with an empty disposable red solo cup in her hand in case she couldn't make it down to the bathroom in time...

Here's our hotel from the boat. Our actual room is the one on the corner on the second floor...

Ahhhhh. The boat has stopped. Stillness. I'm smiling because I know I'm getting ready to step back on land and am never ever going to get on a dinner sailing boat cruise again.
This was lit up every night at our hotel in honor of the basketball tournament.
Pool Day!
We went to an amazing restaurant in Kapalua called Merriman's. It was soooooo delicious and nice. Awesome views and awesome wine.

Our last day/evening/night in Maui we hung out at the pool and beach pretty much all day, walked up and down the beach, and hung out having wonderful drinks.

The next morning we tried to stall as long as possible packing up before they kicked us out at late checkout. There was a beautiful rainbow for us right out our balcony. Even more reason to stall longer...

Before heading to the airport we hit up one more place to get in all the Mai Tai's we possibly could before heading back to reality on the Main Land.

It was one of the best vacations EVER! Just like getting homesick, we're now "vacation-sick" to go back to Hawaii!!!
