Babies' 1st Christmas Program

December was such a fun month for us! It snowed a lot (Well, a lot for us. And kind of fun when you don't have to be totally functional aka DRIVING in it--Definitely fun for Mario), we had a lot of fun activities, and lots of family and friends came to visit. One highlight at the beginning of the month was the babies' 1st Christmas program with Kinder Care! It was so adorable. And Matt and I are officially "those parents". You know, the ones where the Mom stands and waves/cries, meanwhile, the Dad is pushing through other parents in the crowd cutting in front of them to get the best spot to video. Yep, that's us. And they're only 1. I can't imagine how much worse we'll be by the time it's their Kindergarten program or something.

Here we are before we left to go the program. How absolutely handsome does this little bugaboo look??!
And how adorable does this pretty little girl look??!
Okay, let's try it again, Cam...

There we go!
They're not too keen on posing with this proud Momma before-hand who is totally forcing some kind of picture, but oh well, you get the gist...
Okay. So as I mentioned before, we were totally "those parents", but we clearly learned a lot for next time. Both of us were hanging out with the babies "backstage" before it began--what one of us should've done is gone out to claim better seats than the ones we got off to the far side at the last minute before it all began. Matt had the video camera and his pushing and shoving got him a little bit of a better angle for the video. The pictures from my camera are less than ideal. Besides, I was too busy crying (literally, I was wiping away tears--I've got issues) and waving. I had to wave--Cole waved to the crowd at one point! So get out the magnifying glass...Camryn, the diva that she is, is in the front center sitting in the wagon (to the left of the girl in the red bow). I say diva because she was totally capable of walking on her own with one of her teachers, but somehow she managed front and center being wheeled around on stage in the very cool lit-up wagon. Again, with your magnifying glass, there is Cole--standing on the left holding his Miss Diana's hand...
You can't see Cam in this pic, but there's Cole again standing to the left of the wagon. They "performed" to Winter Wonderland. And by "perform" I mean they stood/walked/was pulled in a wagon on-stage during the song "Winter Wonderland" and occasionally Cole would wave. It was the cutest thing this proud Momma has ever seen. I'm getting teary just thinking about it.

Lordy! I'm going to have to be medicated or something, my future is not looking bright as far as my mental stability is concerned when it comes to my children's programs.

After their "performance" we got to go pick them up from the stage and watch the other classrooms do their songs. It was all so adorable. They both sat well with us for about 3 more classes doing their songs. Cam was enjoying watching the other kids sing and dance, she would've lasted longer, but Cole was ready to be done with it all.

So instead they got to run around and be free in the high school outside the auditorium. Cole didn't roam far. He was FASCINATED with the Mickey Mouse trophies this high school choir had won in the nearby trophy cases.
This monkey girl ran all over the high school like a crazy baby. Matt was such a proud Daddy, as we were walking out to our car he proclaimed he was taking them to Dairy Queen for treats. But then they were both asleep about 1 minute into the drive so we just went home, had milk, and went to bed instead. Maybe next year Daddy can show them how proud he is of them in the form of ice cream... :)
