Future In-Laws

We were SOOOOOOO incredibly excited when Ashlee, Jackson, Ben and Bryan came to visit!!! Either with Ben...or Jackson if she prefers older men, we've pretty much betrothed Camryn to the Dillon's when it's time for her to get married, thus ensuring the most wonderful in-law situation ever created.

LOTS of playing went on, LOTS of barking from Mario went on (he loves Jackson--Ben, however, has no love for Mario), LOTS of fun eating times went on---basically just LOTS of good times were had!

One day we went to the Children's Museum. They should definitely have an endless supply and vast menu of adult beverages at this place. There was none of that. I believe Ashlee and I then had the wine open by mid-afternoon that day once we were back. But the kids had a GREAT time so it was well worth it. I learned a lot of things our first time there that day to make it a better experience for all involved next time--like bring our own lunch among other things, and most important: Bring another person! At this age, I need at least 4 eyes to watch and keep track of both of them. Of course they never wanted to play together or even in the same area. It was exhausting keeping track of them. Again, at their age right now, it needs to be one adult per child. We look forward to going back there soon!...With a 3rd party...and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches!...
Taking a breather at the museum. I think the only time they noticed the other was there. I believe they're watching Jackson do some fishing off of a boat nearby...??!
There is a whole room for trains--building tracks and everything. Cole was obsessed with pushing the trains around. He carried trains and pushed them around to all the other areas too.
Camryn loved the little house with the kitchen area in it. She played in here for a looooong time. She was seriously in her own world here, it was pretty cute. And helped me keep track of them better since she played kitchen the majority of the time at the museum...

Another afternoon when all the other boys went skiing, we went to downtown Golden. Of course we had to stop off at the ice cream place. I think these "begging for more ice cream" pictures speak for themselves...

Cole loves to nap, so Cam and Ben did a lot of hanging out sometimes. Among other things, they had their first kiss--Here is a little "love bite" pic continuing with their "romantic" moment...
There must be a riveting show on Sprout or something here...probably Thomas the Train (Ashlee's "favorite") or Driver Dan (Matt's "favorite")!
More playing...

Then Ashlee and I got to have a fun night out to dinner. No kiddos, no cleaning up. It was great!

Aunt Cheryl sent the most wonderful jammies! After about 10 takes, this is one of the best pics we could get of everyone monkey-ed out.
We had such a fun visit, we're so happy the Dillon's came--I can't wait to see them at the end of this month again in Austin. And then we hope they come back to Colorado soon!...And we're excited to have even more friends come visit during Spring Break in the next couple months too!
