Happy Halloween x4

We celebrated Halloween FOUR times this year!

Our first trick or treating was last week when we went with Tami and her boys to one of the High Schools here for their "Trick or Treat Street". It was a huge candy fest. We literally walked (or strolled, in our case) down the halls while kids loaded our bags with candy. C&C liked looking at everyone dressed up. Matt and I liked the candy we came home with from it all. Since that was on the evening of our snow day last week, we opted to be warmer and go as a KC Chief and KU Cheerleader this time. Here we are before we left...

Perhaps she's brushing up on some KU cheers as she reads the Jayhawk book

These are kind of in reverse order. This first one is actually the last picture taken before we left. Once Cole starts poking and grabbing at Cam, it's time to move on and separate!
Before the poking and bugging from brother started up...
Going down the hallways...maybe we're a little overwhelmed...!
Back at home, warming up and being free (and able to be in our own spaces where no one can touch/poke/grab each other)...
Cole constantly pointed out Cam's Jayhawk...

The Friday before Halloween we first went to Newfield's Halloween party at Matt's work. The weather was warmer and we could easily be our beloved Mickey and Minnie. Earless Mickey and Minnie for the most part, that is...
...But a rare moment when Minnie had her ears on. She felt very pretty in her Minnie dress, no doubt.

Cole had the most fun that morning playing in Matt's office. They both immediately spotted balls to play with.
That night we had their Kinder Care Halloween party. We loved seeing our teachers and playing with the balloons in their infant room.

With our Jen who we love love so much!

Cole also loves Ms. Diana. He spotted her when we first got there and instantly reached out for her to hold him!
Finally we made it to the real, actual Halloween. We got all ready to go trick or treat...

So far so good, loading up in our stroller. We were going to go just around our cul-de-sac, say hi to our new neighbors, then head back home to pass out candy. We looked cute and had fun--for only 2 houses then Cam had a meltdown. We high-tailed it back and she settled in on my lap with some juice and Sprout the rest of the evening. Cole was still in good spirits, so he (and Mario) quickly went to the front door to help pass out candy every time trick or treaters came to our door.
Pre-meltdown

Of course, Mickey and Minnie don't want to wear their ears
But they still made for a cute showing...well, for 2 houses that is!
