Stuff to make note of:
-We've had more fun visitors
-We went to the Final Four (even though KU wasn't here to be in it too)
-Camryn is crawling
-We got new carpet
And now for some pictures to go along with everything...
Aren't they cute? We go on a walk just about every day. We get pretty antsy inside the house--and they can only stand to look at just me for only so long...

This little girl loves bath time lately. Grammy told her to just wait, she'll love it even more when she can just soak in the tub with a good book to read. I have to agree. Although, I've forgotten what that is like. Maybe someday I'll revisit that luxury again?
How cute is he waiting for his turn in the tub? Truth be told he's in no hurry. He doesn't enjoy baths like his sister yet. He lays there all stiff and basically puts up with it until I'm done with all the washing. I'm looking forward to when they can sit up completely on their own. I think bath time will be way more fun for the 2 of them. They can bathe and play in the big tub together--and it will all be way more efficient! In the meantime, I'll enjoy my one on one time with them (albeit kind of rushed) in their baby tub.
Post-bath sporting a baby Mohawk. That's the last night we wore those Dino jammies. (Notice the way too short sleeves on him? This is a long-sleeve jammy.) He's a 6-9/9-month clothes wearer now, my "big" boy.

Looking all pretty in her dress from Aunt Anne--and being held by one of her faves, Grammy. She's taking a pre-going out to dinner snooze here....

...So she can be up and lively to keep her Daddy occupied the whole dinner. He didn't stay on his phone much longer after this picture. A certain baby girl was more important.

Right after Grammy and Anne were here, Jennifer, Jim, Maya and Cooper all came to town to visit and go to the Final Four. Camryn enjoys playing the piano along to certain Country songs.
Everyone else got way better pictures from the basketball games. Here's the one and only from my camera. We had a good time despite Kentucky's loss (I felt so bad for Cheryl) and despite a horrible Championship game Monday night. Seriously. It showed on the big screen "UCONN CHAMPIONS"--we wanted to add an asterisk **by default. No one played like a champion that night. But we had a great time being around the great college basketball atmosphere. Matt even ran into Roy Williams and had a quick, happy conversation. Seeing Coach Williams was super exciting.
While our new carpet was being installed earlier this week, the 3 of us hung out at Grandma Jackie's. We've been meaning to take pictures in these adorable onesies and "shorts" they have forever, so we finally did! We got some good ones. We're looking forward to this Tuesday when we take pictures with Melinda and Cristie. We're going to wear our Easter outfits and pose with baby chicks.
I think the commentary for this particular picture goes something like this: "C'mon sister, let's just humor Mommy and get through these pictures so she can finally check this off our list and we can be done and go crawl/roll around on the floor to our hearts' content."

Nana sent the babies some adorable nursery rhyme books crafted just for them. They took to them instantly, so cute! And here's a rare moment where Cam is still and isn't scooting/now crawling all over the floor. She picks up the pace and really, truly crawls toward Mario to tug on his tail when he's nearby--and there's nothing better than crawling over to one of Mario's toys and licking/chewing them just like he does!

And here are some pictures of our new carpet. It's so awesome. And so soft. And 100 million times better than our horrible Berber carpet that has been in the house since it was built. (Which means it was of the lowest quality ever--no padding, fraying all over the place, traps and retains dirt and everything else like no other--basically one big cesspool of filth.) The color we decided on is called "Fortune Cookie". Here's to good fortune with this carpet the rest of the time we live here. Cole tried to mark his territory with it already by throwing up green beans yesterday. "Lucky" for us, it got all over me and the tile kitchen floor mostly instead with just a tiny bit skirting the edge of some of the carpet. I'm sure some huge messes are to come. It's Stainmaster--we'll see how masterful it is at stains in the months to come, right?! In the meantime, we'll enjoy the fact that it feels like we're walking on plushy bath mats for now.
Matt goes back to work Monday and we'll once again adjust to what our new "normal" will be. That will still probably include lots of outside walks (earlier in the mornings now since it's already getting sticky and hot...and it's only April...yikes!), as well as some time at the Y, and hopefully some time playing in the church nursery. We're also looking into doing swim lessons soon too.
Wendy, those babies are just precious! They are so stinking cute! Love the pictures in the bouncies by the pool! Sounds like you are busy busy, but enjoying every moment! I'm glad to hear Matt is doing so well! Thanks for the update. Miss you lots! xo
